I’ve been shooting Pentax since I started photography, the bulk of my work is shot with a K5 mk1 and a selection of lenses:
- HD PENTAX-D FA 150-450mm F4.5-5.6 ED DC AW
- Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.5
- Sigma 70-300 f4-5.6
- Panagor 90mm f 2.8 macro
- Pentax smc 50mm f1.7
- Pentax smc 35mm f2.8
I actually own a lot of older prime lenses, but the list above is about my most used gear.
Besides cameras and lenses we need other stuff as well. I use Sirui tripods with either a ball head or a PH-20 gimbal head. When going out exploring I use the ball head because that is more compact and lends itself for multiple use cases. In the hide or when shooting from a more or less stationary position the gimbal head is much more comfortable in my opinion.
I use a selection of different types of camouflage, my favorite is the popup hide. But I also like to use 3D camouflage suits and camouflage nets/blankets etc. It depends on the task at had what to bring. Exploring is much easier with a suit, while observation from one fixed position is much more pleasant when done from a hide.
Analog photography
I love film photography, I have a lot of (Pentax) cameras. My go-to camera is a Pentax 645, I own almost all of the lenses made for this camera. On this website there is no film content, I wanted to keep this site focused on nature photography for now.
